Sol System
Introduction
The Sol System is the Cradle System of Humanity, and the capital-hosting system for the Trans-Solar Federation. It is host to eight major planets, and hundreds of notable moons, dwarf planets, and stellar objectoids. It's recorded history and developments span the entirety of Humanity from which it was born in the crucible of prehistoric fire to the starships travelling faster than light across Mankind's many domains.
Regions and Cultures
Earth & Luna (Sol III & Sol IIIa)
Sol III, Known as Earth by it's native sentient species, is the third planet from the Sun in the Sol System. It is the Cradle of all Humankind and the Homeworld of Humanity. Earth is the only planet in the Solar System that has a large amount of liquid water on its surface, to the point there is more ocean than land. Because of this, Sol Natives often call it the blue planet.
Sol III is a Terran-Temperate class planet, the foundation and basis of such a classification standard that all worlds settled by humanity are compared to. It consists of various climates across it's surface, from temperate plains, wet jungles, arid deserts, and cold tundras in which various Human cultures had developed under. Sol III Consists of Seven Unique and mutually-agreed upon Geographic Continents known as Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
Political-Wise, the Trans-Solar Federation has placed a megalopolis on the European-Asian Geographic Boundaries, close to the Urals that eventually developed into what is known as "The Capital", the administrative center of the entire Intergalactic Federation. A utopian, decadent, and near post-scarcity icon of what Humanity in its entirety seeks to be. The Capital would come to host various institutions of the Trans-Solar Federation including but not limited to, the Interstellar Expeditionary Force Command (IEFC), the Orion Spur Home Fleet Office (OSHFO), the Central Federation Economic Ministry (CFEM), and lastly the Federation Interstellar Naval Warfare Academy + Command (FINWAC). Beyond the Capital, Sol III being the Homeworld of Humanity has granted itself a priority in top-tier development that rivals every other federation planet combined outside of the Sol System- Leaving a Standard of Living that remains supreme and the government is given wiggle room to be widely pragmatic due to such.
Beyond Sol III lies it's only major natural satelite, Luna- Otherwise known as Sol IIIa. It orbit's Sol III's night sky like a guardian, and is supported as such. Sol IIIa hosts a major military presence and defensive complexes lie across its various subterranean cities and bio-domes that protects the populance from the lack of an atmosphere. Most of the Interstellar Embassies are not hosted directly on Sol III, but rather on Sol IIIa's administrative capital city, Armstrong-91.
