Space Authority

Overview

The Space Authority are a task force of several law-enforcement organisations of the Trans-Solar Federation, after the events of the pod wars the TSF found they were still under invasion from pirates, syndicates and illegal salvagers (fancy word for more pirates), to combat this they established an emergency task force named the "Galactic Crime Division" however this quickly fell apart due to corruption and lobbying, in its wake however The Bureau stepped up, formed out of veterans of law-enforcement and the pod wars they established a proper authority through force or careful political strikes, and afterwards they were dubbed the Space Authority.

Relationship to Nanotrasen

While testy at times, Nanotrasen being one of the bigger corporations gives them a good relationship with the TSF however the Space Authority find themselves at odds with them a few times, 40% of incidents are Nanotrasen related, with 10% being NUCLEAR incidents, in turn Galactic Law is often broken and ends up with large fines which they shrug off like their paperwork load, CentComm are often instructed by Nanotrasen to hide such violations as to avoid loss of profit.

Relationship to the Syndicate

At best the Syndicate are considered a terrorist organisation, and any person that declares themself a syndicate are arrested and tried under the Collective-Crimes act of 2438, it didn't get any better when the syndicate bombed Watchpost-13, also doesn't help they have a long list of crimes against the TSF, and would be rather seen dead than any other sort of compromise.
