The NanoTrasen Representative is the physical presence of NanoTrasen on the station. While the station is NanoTrasen property, this however does not grant any elevated privileges outside of their required duties. Nanotrasen Representatives are expected to posses general knowledge of EVERY departmental role of the station as well as Corporate Law. While not expected to perform the duties of any department they may however perform "non-sec" duties in the event that immediate intervention is required.

While the representative holds a high-status among the crew, they have no official command authority unless explicitly stated by Central Command. However disregarding a representative's advice may lead to unforeseen consequences.

It is expected of the Representative to keep Central Command in the loop of all relevant station side information, especially those that impact overall station performance and health. NanoTrasen has quotas to meet, the safety, efficiency and profitability of the station is paramount.

Central Command and You.

You should be aware Central Command members are observing game admins, as such they may be busy or understaffed. Heavy intervention generally concludes with evac / round end, it is recommended to request assistance early and preserve the round "integrity" (example: Engineering being unable to "fix" atmos shouldn't spoil the round for everyone else)

Any forum sent to CentComm, must include a stamp and signature.

It is your job as a representative to keep Central Command in the loop using clear, well worded forums as this assures a speedy and appropriate response. It is imperative that you familiarize yourself with the location of the "long range" holopad and fax, unless specified all replies will be sent there. Central Command requires the following faxes:

  • Early evacuation requests, prior to crew shift change.
  • A concise update whenever a station-wide threat is confirmed (Red Alert+), and eliminated.
  • Acknowledgement when starting a formal audit, and the results of said audit.
  • Any major S.O.P violations, as-well as violations unresolvable on station.

Central Command may be required to intervene in station affairs, it is recommended you use your best judgment when requesting intervention. Some sectors may receive less funding as such, some options will not be available. Tip: Department stamps play a big role in approving specific requests, it is recommended you clearly state the request and outcome predicted.

  1. Station Audit - Central Command may be dispatched to audit and resolve ongoing station issues.
  2. Gamma Alert + Armory shuttle - Central Command authorizes the temporary suspension of S.O.P, along with emergency blue-spacing of the gamma code shuttle to help eliminate the threat.
  3. Delta Alert - The station is considered lost, to prevent inter-station damage or contamination CentComm will activate the on-site nuclear warhead. (You will only feel a slight sting)
  4. Emergency Response Team - When the station is deemed incapable of resolving the issues at hand CentComm may deploy Engineering, Medical, Security, Janitorial or Chaplain response teams.
  5. CBURN - Usually dispatched to resolve viral threats, CBURN may be sent to eliminate the threat when the station is deemed an extreme hazard.
  6. Epsilon Activation - Chain of command failure, major and consistent S.O.P violations with little or no corrective action taken resulting in major loss of life, multiple departmental failures or imminent station loss.

Commissar Protocols - Central Command may issue or approve the NanoTrasen Representatives request to assume station control, this is not a light decision to make and negligent requests may get you removed from your position. Commissar protocol involves a vote of "no-confidence" involving all department heads and the current captain. You must make every attempt to restore the chain of command by appointing an acting captain-(if applicable). If you are unable to appoint an acting captain or the department heads agree they are unfit for the job, you may fax for commissar until a new captain is appointed by Central Command. Consistent and gross incompetence or loss of nuclear-disk may warrant this response.
